The Fort Erie Public Library is committed to providing our community with accessible programs, services and resources.

Facilities

To provide a barrier free environment, all branches of the Fort Erie Public Library are equipped with the following:

  • Automatic door openers
  • Reserved wheelchair parking
  • Flush curbs
  • Accessible shelving isle widths
  • Wheelchair accessible internet workstations
  • Strobe light fire alarms
  • Accessible washrooms

Collections & Services

There are many services and collections at the Library for customers with special needs including:

  • Large print materials
  • Audiobooks
  • Closed caption DVDs
  • CNIB audiobooks
  • Daisy book reader
  • Homebound delivery service
  • Interlibrary loan service

Adaptive Technology

To further enhance access to information FEPL offers the following assistive technology


  • Large print keyboards
  • Head phones
  • Trackball pointing devices
  • Adjustable height desk (Centennial only)
  • Text to speech software (Centennial only)
