Smith (O.P.P.), beloved husband of Elizabeth (Fuller) Smith, in his 52nd year, dear father of Lynn (Mrs. Gordon McNeil), David (his wife Linda), Michael (Mary), Laurie, Robbie and Mark, all of Fort Erie, dear brother of Joan (Mrs. Frank New- berry) of Draytonville, Alberta, dear grand- father of Robert, Christie and Kevin. Friends may call at the Fort Erie Chapel of the Davidson Funeral Homes, 21 Wintemute Street from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

ROBERT D. (DOUG) SMITH Robert D. (Doug) Smith, 57 Conway Place, Crystal Beach, died at Douglas Memorial Hospital on Oct. 31, 1983. Born in Buffalo, N.Y. Feb. 23, 1919 he was employed as a freight brakeman and conductor by Conrail for 30 years. He was a member of United Transportation Union No. 1339 Buffalo, was a Sergeant in the American Air Force from 1939-44 spending 32 years overseas and was a former member of the National Guard in Buffalo. .Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Crystal Beach. He is survived by his wife, Miriam (Babcock); two daughters, Joan (Mrs. Ronald Horton) and Margaret (Mrs. Herbert Maracle) both of Crystal Beach; two grandsons, Ronald Douglas and Andrew Scott Horton. Also surviving is his uncle Dan Hitch of St. Thomas. The Rev. John Parker officiated funeral services Thursday, Nov. 3 in the chapel of The Williams Funeral Home, Ridgeway. The interment was in Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Smith, Wayne Bramburger, Leslie Pinsonneault, Robert P. Babcock, Donald W. Babcock and Brian B. Babcock, all nephews of Mr. Smith..

MATTHEW A. SMITH Matthew A. Smith, of 55 Rice- land Rd., died at St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday, March 20, 1990. He was 77. Born in Scotland on June 18, 1912, Mr Smith was a moulder at Pohlman Foundaries and a member of St. Andrew's-Knox Presbyterian Church and a resident of Fort Erie for 20 years. Mr Smith is survived by his wife, Christine Liddell (Gard- ner) Smith; a son, Angus Smith (and his wife Donna) of Scarbor- ough; and a brother, Angus Smith of Scotland. Visitation was held at the Fort Erie Chapel of the Davidson Funeral Homes. A Sons of Scotland Memorial Service was held on Thursday, March 22, 1990, at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services were held at St. Andrew's-Knox Presbyterian Church, Central Avenue, Fort Erie, on Saturday, March 24, 1990, at 11 a.m., with Rev. R. Docherty officiating. Cremation will take place. The Fort Erie Chapel of the Davidson Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

Aside from being a real estate broker, Marvin was also an appraiser for the Royal Bank for 30 years. At Marvin's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. SMITH, Marilyn - Passed away peacefully, on February 27th, 1997 at her home in Crescent Beach, Fort Erie in her 63rd year, after a two-and-a-half-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved wife of Ted and mother to Lee Ann (Keith) Mills of Prince Albert, Jeff (Butch) and Sherry of Black Creek, Cory (Cheryl) of Barrie, Tami (Cameron) McCallum and Jodi (Chad) Gates of Fort Erie. Daughter of Roy (deceased) and Margaret Raycroft of Black Creek and sister to Barbara (Jerry) Murphy of Houston, Texas. Loving grandmother of Chris, Kyla and Brianne. Marilyn was a licensed hairdresser who obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brock University. She taught cosmetology at Lord Elgin Vocational School in Niagara Falls, Eastdale Secondary School in Welland and Fort Erie Secondary School. She retired from F.E.S.S., as a librarian in June 1993. Marilyn will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all her students whose lives she touched guided and influenced over her lifetime. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of THE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME Saturday afternoon at 1:30. Interment took place in McAffee Cemetery.

SMITH, Lowell Thomas Passed away peacefully at Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie, on 03 September 2012, at the age of 74. Most beloved father of Kimberley (Michael) Smith Maynard and Lisa Deanne Smith; loving grandfather to Brennan Maynard and Tyla Crowhurst-Smith; dear brother to Richard Smith (Maxine), Leonard Smith (Elinor), Mary Krupa (Martin), Janet Guimond (Marc), and Terry (Lawrence) Gamache; a special uncle to his many nieces and nephews, "brother in kind" to Cyril Molyneaux and Carl Uloth; and special friend to many, many others, including his friends at the Fort Erie YMCA. Lowell lived fully, with grace, humour and courage, was a friend to everyone, and always brought out the best in others. He worked in the publishing industry and lastly as a Sales Representative at ITP Nelson for 24 years, retiring in 1997. Lowell's family and friends wish to thank Dr Findlay, Dr Scher and the nurses of the Niagara Health System for their outstanding care during his illness, particularly during his palliative care at Douglas Memorial Hospital, Fort Erie. In accordance with Lowell's wishes, he will be cremated and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George's Catholic Church in Crystal Beach, Ontario on Saturday, Sept 08 at 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will also be held in Christie Ridge, N.B., in the summer of 2013. Online condolences may be made at www.pleasantviewcemetery.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Douglas Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice. WALKER, Joe (Caswell Joseph) at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 7, 2005. Papa Joe is survived by his children Tracy and Ross Thompson and Chris, Shannon and Kevin. He is also remembered and loved as a grandfather to many. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of THE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME in Ridgeway on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. James Arthur (Art) Walker, 69 Belvedere Rd., Crystal Beach died at Douglas Memorial Hospital on Jan. 19, 1987.
Born in Napanee, Ont. Sept. 25, 1916, he worked for National Trust for 30 years until his retirement. He resided in Toronto prior to retiring to Crystal Beach.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian Walker; sons, Lyle of New Mexico, Dennis Maryland, Jimmy of Calgary, Gary Williams Walker and his wife, Irene of Rochester; daughters, Frances of Rochester, Betty (Mrs. Bill Klinger) of Pennsylvania and
Norma Jean (Mrs. Jerden Groover) of Florida. Also, surviving are 25 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. A.E. Cooper officiated the funeral service Thurs day, Jan. 22 in the chapel of The Williams Funeral Home, Ridgeway at 11 a.m.
Interment was in Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery.
