�ed unit overseas enlisted at the C@M .. Rï¿½ depot whi h was established in
Hamil ton in Jan .. 1916, under Col,,, W .. c .. .orooks They were then taken overseas
in one of the Canadian Expeditionary Forces.
Welland recruited an InfantryÂ· .oattalion the 127th., C
J.'lajor. Sharpe of
Eï¿½ F .. in Jan 1916 , and several of the Dragoons joined this unit ..
After the war the 2nd. Dragoons were reorganized into three mnits with
Headquarters at St. Catharines, under the
Command of Col. D. Sharpe of W
Wellande The three aquadrons were located at S â€¢ ï¿½atharines , Hamilton, and
Welland respectively. The regiment has dismounted training in theit local
armouries in the spring and the fall, and mounted training for two weeks
at !Hagara Camp'_ in J"uneÂ·a.r:the"year.
At the present time{
1930) the officers are: Col. W.,C;Â· ï¿½rooks, V.D ..
O.Ce, Major D .. C .. Wills, commanding "A" squadron, Majo:r c .. Chambers 11B" s
squadron, and Major Sutherland, "C" squadron .. The strength of the Regiment
ï¿½olï¿½ R.Ye Eaton is honoury Colonel ..
is 25 officers and 180 other ranks.
