His older daughters were already married and h i s daughter Jane kept house for him

She told that he was called "Old t'erpendicular" â€¢ . Another nickname he had according to Jane's son:, William A. Metler, was
"Cumberland Jack" â€¢ . It is probable that his daughter_ and her. husband, William H.
Metler, lived with.him when theywere first married.
William's fouï¿½-sons -ï¿½e--all ï¿½ï¿½ilrpad enginemen. - George died when he was 21
