He attended public school here and continuation school at Phipp and · after school took a job Viii th the N. Y. C.railraod . He left tl:e and took a job with the Pierce Arrow Plan~ in Buffalo N.Y. After a t i me he took a job with the Grand Trunk. Railroad where he became chief clerk in the car de partment •• He kept this job till 192? when he went into the Insurance buBiness with I'-ifr.
