BENNER, David C.
Surrounded by his
family, David passed away peacefully at
the Greater Niagara General Hospital on
Thursday April 25th, 2013 at the age of 62. I
Best friend and husband of Carrie (nee
Cardwell) . Proud father of Jessica (Michael)
Folino, Katie (1999) and Nick Benner.
Loving grandfather of Katie and Stella.
Devoted son of Phil and Ethel Benner,
cherished brother of Brian (Sheree) , Peter
(Kathy ) and Rebecca (Chris) Parton and
nephew of Trudie Benner. Beloved son-inÂ­
law of Richard and Gloria Cardwell and
brother-in-law of Carlee (Chad) Alderson.
He will be greatly missed by his many
nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family
and friends. David's education, a BA from
Wilfrid Laurier University along with a
Bachelor and Masters of Education from
Brock University provided the foundation for
his lifelong career in Education. David was
a tireless advocate for students in
Speciï¿½I Education, continually fighting for
their right to access the best possible
learning experience. BENNER FUNERAL
SERVICES, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie
entrusted wrth arrangements. The family
will receive friends on Sunday from 5-9 pm.
Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel
on Monday afternoon at 1 oï¿½clock. If so
desired, donations to the Stair Climb for
Children's Cancer or the ICU at Greater
Niagara
General
Hospital
would
be
appreciated by the famiJy.
