Trilhen Lyn retired Sue took over as manager. Eventually the original owners sold to Karl & Connie ( Powe ll) Halif31<:::iL Picnic t ables were added around the grounds, and there cv-Jas also a large indoor eating room with a Jw<:e box for dancing. Karl built the large home to the we3t shortly after atking over the business. There was a small stream along side the paking lot so he had a small bridge installed , for passing from the home to the Rest. Karl worked in the front yard at Horton Steel. Sue was then employed as manager. The Jamboree had been up for sale for about t wo years when it was destroyed I . by fire brw1tons Aug. 72 or 73. The fire was such that t wo fire depts. answered the call. Grocery Store across the street had a great deal of damage doe to the front of the business. the Haliski's never did rebuild. Their home next door was saved but they l e ft for northern Ont.
