The children of Maria Verburg announce with great sadness the death of their mother at Shalom Manor on Tuesday January 13, 2009 in her 92nd year. Maria was born in Waddingsveen, Holland, and immigrated to Canada with her husband Jan in 1951. She has lived in the Ridgeway area since then. She leaves behind her chuldren, Dick (Margaret) Cobi (Claude) Winger, Kees (Diana), Johm (Gloria) Ed (Mary Ann), Tonia (Jack) Cunningham, Mary Verburg (Paul), Peter (Adele), Ron (Kathryn), 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grand children. She was pre deceased by her husband Jan (1983) son Rick and daughter-in-law Joan (1979) and great-granddaughter Noelle Hook (2000). Funeral services were conducted in the Bertie Brethren in Christ Church on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Internment took place in Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations would be appreciated to Shalom Manor, World Vision or the Bible-a-Month Club. Arrangements were entrusted to THE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME.</text>
