Madge Victoria Wolbert, of 54 Archange St., Fort Erie, died at Crescent Park Lodge, Fort Erie, on Thursday, April 28, 1988. She was 87. Born in Fort Erie on February 26, 1901. Mrs. Wolbert was a housewife. Mrs. Wolbert is survived by two sons, Allan, and his wife Thelma, of Fort Erie, and Donald, and his wife Kathy, of Ottawa: three daughters. Evelyn (Mrs. Robert Meldrum) of Welland and Irene Hanna of Saskatoon; 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Wolbert; by one son, Charles; and by one sister, Shirley Foster. The Town of Fort Erie would like to remind short-term rental operators that disobeying these restrictions will result in a fine up to $750. “Town Staff is very aware that many short-term rental operators rely on the income that is generated during the summer season. We understand the inconvenience this causes; however, the restrictions are put in place for a reason.
