Born in Winnipeg on May 17, 1919, she lived in this area most of her life and was a former alderman with the Town of Fort Erie Council. She was also treasurer of the Beachcombers senior citizens' group. Mrs. Wood was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 1983. She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins in Toronto and Winnipeg.
