He worked for Canadian National Railways for 37 years from where he retired. After retiring he worked at the Ontario Jockey Club. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Martin) Zampaloni, dear father of Karen Lightheart and her husband Gary, Kevin Zampaloni and his wife Rose both of Crystal Beach, Craig Zampaloni and his wife Lezlie of Fort Erie and Catherine Zampaloni at home, loving grandfather of Brittany, Brianne, Jenna, Dylan, Aleaha, Nathan and Alissa, brother of David Zampaloni of Caledon, Betty Reaman and her husband Doug, Jean Roy and her husband Ferdinand (Lefty) and Rosemary Dubuc and friend John McLeod all of Fort Erie, brother-in-law of Freida Zampaloni of Fort Erie. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Catherine Zampaloni and a brother Ronald Zampaloni. Born in Przeworsk, Poland on November 24, 1926 she was the beloved wife of the late Mieczyslaw Zarek. Proud mother of Anna (Jack) Brewster, Maggie Barrett and Izabel (David) Flowers. Cherished grandmother of JJ (Nikki), Jennifer (Rich), Michelle (Ryan), Kyle, Andrew and Kitt. Loving great grandmother of Jake and Bianca. A proud and active member of the community, she belonged to St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic Church Women's League, the Canadian Air Force Association, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 71, the Fort Erie Horticultural Society and volunteered with the Canadian Blood Service, the Girl Guides of Canada and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
