. On May 13, 1851ï¿½ Jrenry Dell, Sr.ï¿½ who
the oldest son of Basenett
Dell awl his wife; Ann Defields, who were United Empire Loyalists, and
came to Canada in 178ï¿½, deeded one acre of land to the trustees for a
Methoaist .t:pisï¿½opal Church for five shill ings. \A cemetery and a site for
a chUJX!h ailled Dellï¿½'' Chapel was to be erected here. Some of the trustees
ï¿½re paniel Lï¿½t; Peter Dell, vVilliam Dell, Thomas Dell and Jonaï¿½an
