Thislot contained two buildings each two story.
that two the south much higher. The h6tth bui lding
for a number of years was devided into two, for a time
a grocery on the north and a bakery to the south.
When first buiit it was one story , the Shisler bake
shop. After the fire Mr. Hawkins added the upper
floors and rebuilt the bake ovens.

In the late 30's

it reverted to one store , a grocery run By Stan
Bu~ger.

In 1 940 it was remodelled exstensively

by Mr. Merve Cam when he opened a Drug Store at this
location .
The building to the south was always devided into
two stores with an apt.above. There had been a fire
here in 1915 and previous the tin shop of Mr. Harris .

1910. Emerson Plato built the F.E. post office on this site.
apparently there was a large two story frame home on site,
that was moved off in the early 1900's and relocated just south facing
the roadway running along the riverfront. The post office building was
one story with flat roof and was devided into two

also on the lot , south side was another small one story peaked roof
building that in the early 1900's housed the WM. Hawley butcher Shop.
it then became a Chinese rest with Mr. Seto as

owner. from then it went

to Robert Lam who ranthe Blue Roof Rest from this site. It was taken over
by Stanley Joe who renamed the restaurant the New York Cafe. The last
ovlilers were Jack and Wendie Chew. All these buildings were later demolished
for the construction of Happy Jack's new restaurant.
