                  <text>WILLIAMS Glen
Glenn Eldred Williams, composer of music, died at his home in Albuquerque, New
Mexico on Sunday, April 5, after a valiant fight against cancer. He was in his 65th year
He is best known in Western New York for his preservation of the home of the late
Helen Mather Chapin, and its conversion into The Mather Homestead Museum, Library
and Memorial Park, with special concern for the enjoyment of those who are blind or
poorly sighted.
He and his wife, Barbara Chapin Williams, have spent several seasons in Fort Erie,
where they found welcome and peace. Mr. Williams has based several recent
compositions on his walks along the Niagara River, and the couple have treasured the
beautiful rides, fine eating places, wonderful library, and merry race track. Mrs. Williams
said the couple was thankful for these happy days, and for the many friends made while
in the Niagara Frontier.
