PLATO, Clifford "Tony" of Fort Erie passed away at the Crescent Park Lodge on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the age of 89 years. Mr. Plato was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #71. Dear father of David Smith (Ardelle) of Fonthill, grandfather of Heather Gignac (Donald) and Tina Smith all of Fort Erie, Richard Smith of St. Catharines, Kim Nicholls (Neil) of Fort Erie, Lynne Turner (Bill) of St. Catharines, John Polich of Toronto and Joseph Polich of Sundridge. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Minnie, son Robert Smith and Daughter Sharon Smith. The family will receive visitors at the FORT ERIE CHAPEL of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES 21 Wintemute Street on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Archdeacon Ken Cardwell officiating. Cremation is to follow. with interment of ashes in. St. Paul's Anglican Churchyard at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.
