VAN HEEREN, Hendrik "Henk” - Born on April 30, 1927 in Heerjansdam, Holland and passed away suddenly on Saturday November 7, 2015 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Predeceased by his father Nicolaas and his mother Pieternell, brothers Nico, Joop (Truus), Jan and sister Riet. He served in the Netherlands Air Force in London, England where he met and married Margaret 67 years ago. Henk is survived by the love of his life Margaret, daughter Nella (Karl), son Nick (Marilyn), grandchildren Mary (Patrick), Kristen and Edward. He came to Canada in 1953 with his wife and daughter Nella. From the age of twelve he worked in the trucking industry, in Holland and Canada until his retirement in 1992. He dearly loved feeding his "Pet” Rabbits, Chipmunks and Birds. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie have been entrusted with arrangements. Cremation has taken place. Henk's family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday November 11, 2015 from 1-3 o'clock. A private entombment will take place at a later date.
