Library Visits

Arrange a tour with our library staff to learn about our collections and services. In your visit, students will learn about the basic workings of a public library, what they can borrow, and how to get a library card. We’ll do storytimes, activities, and kid-friendly library tours.

School Visits

In our school visits, a Librarian will come to your school with a fun module to teach students about basic workings of a public library, what they can borrow, and how to get a library card.

Kindergarten Storytimes at Your School

We will go to your school to do a 20-30 minute storytime to your kindergarten class. This fun storytime will get your students excited about reading!

High School Outreach

One of our librarians can meet with classes in school classrooms or computer labs for sessions that offer an introduction to library resources. Sessions include:

  • Finding online information, beyond Google and Wikipedia
  • A discussion on peer-reviewed journals and academic integrity
  • If your class is doing a specific project or exploring a certain topic, our librarians can assist in finding books for your class to read and check out.

Library staff can also create customised presentations for students in grades 9-12.

If you would like to register your students for library cards, you may pick up applications at any Fort Erie Library location.
