The Fort Erie Public Library is an open door to lifelong learning and leisure opportunities that empower every member of our community.

The Fort Erie Public Library Board commits to meeting the informational and recreational needs of the residents of Greater Fort Erie in a cost-effective manner inclusive manner, with a strong emphasis on education, cultural enrichment, and personal development.

Desired Outcomes

1. Empowerment through Knowledge

• Community members of all ages have access to the resources, programs, and support they need to pursue formal learning (up to post‑secondary level) and achieve personal learning goals.
• Resources are aligned with school, college and university curricula.
• Information services help patrons locate, evaluate and use information effectively.

2. Enhanced Quality of Life

• Residents enjoy a richer, more diverse quality of life through accessible recreational reading, affordable entertainment, and culturally relevant programming.
• A broad collection of fiction, non‑fiction and multimedia supports casual reading and discovery.
• Programs and events reflect the cultural diversity of the community and provide meaningful participation opportunities.
