Policy

The purpose of this policy is to outline criteria for the removal and disposal of library materials. Criteria for accepting donations is covered in the Material Donation Policy.

The library reserves the right to refuse donations when the material is not deemed useable.

Library materials obtained through the material de-selection process and through donations may be:

• Donated to another non-profit organization;
• Offered to the public for free;
• Recycled or disposed of via waste programs if not recyclable, or
• Any manner deemed fit by the CEO or designate.
