1. Policy
The piano may be used by anyone with a valid Library Card, with the following conditions:
1.1 Persons under age twelve must be registered by a parent or qualified music teacher.
1.2 Anyone renting the room for a program may request the use of the piano at no extra charge. The piano will not be available for use by anyone else when the room is booked by a group.
1.3 Use of the piano by qualified patrons for practice is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
1.4 If the user wishes to book a set time, the user must book the use of the Community Room at the appropriate rental rate for the room.
1.5 Security fees apply for any use after normal Library hours.
1.6 Use by a music teacher for instruction to a student or students, requires room rental rates and booking in advance. Regular or block bookings will be reviewed by the CEO.
1.7 The Library will be responsible for an annual tuning of the piano. If an individual or group wants it tuned for a particular performance, the cost of tuning will be their responsibility. Tuner to be agreed upon by the CEO.
1.8 Library staff will be responsible for moving of the piano within the Library. It may not be moved by anyone else.
1.9 The piano will not be removed from the premises.
