Get a Library Card

Visit any of our three locations to register for a library card.
or apply using the online form.

Adults need personal identification and proof of a current Fort Erie address. If you are a new resident and/or do not yet have identification with a Fort Erie address, a card will be issued and mailed to you.

Children (up to 11 years of age) do not require proof of address, however an application form must be filled out, signed by the child’s guardian/parent and brought in by the parent or legal guardian with the child OR the parent must be present with the child at the time of registration.

Acceptable personal and/or proof of address identification include : Driver’s License, Credit Card, Passport, Utility Bill, Personal Mail, Tax or Lease Receipt, Rental Agreement, Report Card, Student ID Card

Replace a Card

If your card is lost or stolen, report it immediately to any branch library. You are responsible for anything borrowed on your card. To receive a replacement card, you will be asked to show identification. Replacement cards are free of change.

Renew a Card

If you change your address or phone number, please tell us! There is no charge for making changes to your library card record. Your card will need to be renewed each year. Do not throw out your card. We will renew your record on our computer and you will continue to use the same card.
